Tucson, Arizona, USAA fine blue-green translucent specimen of Cuprian Smithsonite from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia. The specimen forms a conical profile with a bold, botryoidal surface with a satin lustre on a sandy coloured granular matrix impregnated with light apple green Duftite. This small cabinet specimen looks good stood vertically and will make a most delightful display specimen in the finest of Tsumeb cabinets. As the name implies, Cuprian is a copper enriched variety of the zinc carbonate Smithsonite and is one of four classic Smithsonite varieties from this mine.
