Hematite Iron ROSE$475.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
When you see a photo of the spectacular Lucendro Valley in Switzerland, you imagine it could not get any better. But once the list of magnificent Alpine minerals is revealed, the entire valley takes on a whole new perspective! What a combination, of magnificent scenery and magnificent minerals! One of this locality’s most famous minerals is Hematite in the habit of an Iron Rose. Such arrangements of crystallised Hematite plates can vary widely and in this case, it’s the more unusual acorn-like habit rather than the more common open rose structure. The largest ‘acorn’ measures 1.5 x 1 x 1 cm, formed from composite, horizontally stacked Hematite plates. The Hematite roses are set in a matrix of fine-grained creamy Feldspar. An old Roberto Palumbo (Roma) label accompanies this specimen.
