A very pleasing aesthetic arrangement of octahedral Cuprite crystals set on a light-coloured contrasting matrix of sucrosic textured Dolomite. One intergrown pair of crystals show small flats on the apex of the octahedrons, representing the cubic face of a cuboctahedron. The lustrous maroon-red Cuprite crystals measure to 5 mm on edge and display excellent internal blood-red reflections. The underside of the specimen has an abundant coating of light green micro-crystals of Conichalcite over an ochre to brick red Goethite matrix. A beautiful small miniature Tsumeb Cuprite.
