Extensive areas of this large miniature are covered in a sparkling druse of deep rich blue Azurite with patches of lath-like, bluish-green turquoise Tyrolite with a glassy lustre and forest green areas of Malachite, largely replaced by turquoise-green Chrysocolla. This old-time specimen is from the Brixlegg-Schwaz area of the Inn valley, North Tyrol, Austria. The specimen has two old labels stuck to the specimen, both inscribed in beautiful copperplate handwriting.
