Wire transfers available, to set up
A lustrous maroon red complex twinned crystal of Cuprite, measuring to 9 mm across, sits on a matrix of creamy Dolomite crystals from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia. This crystal displays extremely unusual form, with essentially a cubo-octahedral habit, but modified edges and with a staggered, offset elongation of form, caused by the twinning. It abuts a roughly 1.5 x 1 cm area of 1 to 2 mm Cuprite crystals, but it is this exceptionally unusual twin which defines this remarkable Tsumeb specimen. An extremely fine small miniature Cuprite from Tsumeb made even more pronounced by its bright cream-white Dolomite background.
