Tucson, Arizona, USASub-mm crystals of dark-leaf green Duftite richly line vuggy cavities pervading a white Dolomite cast. Casts were common within the Tsumeb orebody due to the karstic nature of the deposit and continuous successive generations of varying fluid chemistry. The Dolomite forms a delicate shell-like framework within which the Duftite crystals reside. This specimen was originally labelled as Olivenite, but is the dark green form of Duftite, another copper arsenate like Olivenite, but also containing lead. A most attractive specimen of Duftite displayed to full effect against the eye-catching and contrasting Dolomite.
