This very choice miniature is a somewhat rare colourful matrix-hosted Elbaite tourmaline specimen from Male, Mogok, Myanmar. It presents a very pleasing combination of gemmy pink Elbaite crystals with well-formed Quartz crystals. Two main crystals of Elbaite tourmaline are neatly positioned either side of a Quartz crystal. The Elbaite crystals are admittedly not huge, at up to 2.2 cm in length, but are colourfully dramatic and one should remember how rare it is to see fine matrix specimens of tourmaline from Myanmar. This very pretty miniature pegmatite assemblage comes with a custom Sunnywood acryllic display stand. Ex Jesse Fisher and Joan Kureczka Collection.
