Tucson, Arizona, USAGlassy, highly lustrous, milky white tabular Hemimorphite crystals and crystal clusters make-up almost all of this fabulous miniature from the iconic Mexican locality of Ojuela mine at Mapimí in Durango State. The underlying matrix is an attractive orange terracotta and where this is exposed through the Hemimorphite, adds great contrast. Individual semi-transparent to translucent terminated lath-like Hemimorphite crystals to 1 cm form rich clusters around the two dominating curved crystalline mounds, some 4 x 2 x 1.5 and 3 x 2 x 1.5 cm respectively. In these the Hemimorphite forms fanned crystal aggregates like splayed packs of playing cards. A truly lovely specimen from Ojuela.
