The Cuprian Smithsonite forms crystals of increasing complexity commensurate with their size. The smaller crystals are regular rhombohedrons whereas the larger, up to 1.1 cm wide crystals, have stepped corners that form pyramidal faces tending more to pseudo-octahedral habits. A delightful and pretty Cuprian Smithsonite from Tsumeb.
