Spiky, lustrous, emerald green crystals of brochantite, to 2 cm across, totally comprise this beautiful, colorful specimen. It looks like so much as a spiky green porcupine. For the size, it is an excellent and unusually well-preserved miniature from a small pocket zone that truly produce the best of species crystals, in approximately 2012-14. Ruben Avila was a major source for transferring Mexican specimens to the USA market. This was the miniature he kept in his collection. Although the collection did not have Milpillas azurite of note, he did go out of his way to get rarities such as this. Note: although this can be easily handled, I would prefer this be shipped domestically or with hand delivery, not overseas.
