A very large, highly dramatic specimen of rutilate included inside transparent quartz, from the most famous location for this combination of minerals. This is large, showy, and hefty at 77 grams. It is well polished. It comes from the multigenerational family collection of Bruno Gioia in Sao Paolo, and is from old material. While smaller specimens and cabochons are common enough, a piece of this size with such thick and visible rutile inside is rare. Also, it is oriented particularly nicely within!
