This is a superlative Tsumeb Mine Smithsonite featuring a 5.6 cm long, gemmy and transparent, doubly-terminated crystal along with two other companion crystals. We have seen very few Smithsonite specimens such as this! All three of these crystals are transparent and lustrous with a golden-tan color and they are dramatically perched upon a small piece of gossanous matrix. The bottom of the piece is also encrusted with smaller Smithsonites. The video says it all - this is a competitive, noteworthy Tsumeb piece. These elongated scalenohedral smithsonite crystals are among the rarest style from Tsumeb, particularly in such size! This is a small cabinet/large Miniature sized specimen.
