This large emerald crystal from the famous Swat Valley in Pakistan is a rare and balanced matrix specimen. It hosts a fine 5 cm long, 1.6 cm wide crystal perched on quartz matrix. The size is exceptional for the location, as is the display on matrix. It has one clean repair near the termination visible only under UV. For the size and style of "look" it is quite difficult to get 2 inch emeralds on matrix at any price under tens of thousands of dollars, so I considered the repair to be very fair and well done at the price point.
