WOW. This unusual gem crystal is not just a typical kunzite, and although your eye is first drawn to the stunning intense neon pink color, it is the geometry and shape which then attracts attention next. This is a complete all around, twinned, transparent to translucent gem crystal (it is a floater, meaning it has no points of attachment). Something about the crystal shaper and twinning makes it more pink than others. Normally, such crystals need to be lit up the c axis (the long axis, or vertical axis) to show off intense pink color. This, however, simply sits any which way and still manages to look neon pink, which is a very rare phenomenon in kunzite as a species - from any locale. I have seen thousands of kunzite crystals from this region of the world over 30 plus years as a dealer, and never seen one quite like this.
