Here we show off a perfectly balanced twinned calcite, with that rich and deep amber color we love most in Elmwood calcites! It stands beautifully as a vertical specimen on a small amount of attached sphalerite that acts as a pedestal in back. A combination of strong color, translucency and transparency, balance and size make this very visually impactful and it is a classic piece from the 1970s-1980s era of mining here. It is nearly pristine, with just a small contact or ding on the back of the top termination, which in any case is not visible from front display. As photos indicate, the color on this one is stronger than in most. Size, style, and color combine to make it one of the more impactful examples in this size range, in this large update we have prepared.
