The Red Cloud mine has produced some of the world’s premier wulfenite specimens over its long history, dating back to the 1800s and popularized by the finds of Ed Over in the 1930s. This dramatic cluster is a wonderful thumbnail example from the locality, with highly lustrous, bright red-orange crystals of wulfenite arranged aesthetically on typical matrix, cascading from the largest at 1.8 cm down to millimeter sized crystals arranged nicely at the base of the specimen. A fine example from this classic American locality!
