Bipyramidal wulfenite is extremely rare in nature. This is a surprising specimen hosting a single, extremely large and elongated, bipyramidal crystal of wulfenite from these massive finds of 2008-2010 (more or less). This single crystal is 3.4 cm long. I cannot recall seeing a larger example of a wulfenite crystal of this habit from this find, this mine, or any other mine. The crystal is fully terminated at one end and technically boudly-terminated, though the bottom is included with a bit of attached matrix. I recently trimmed this down from a 7 inch large but ugly cabinet piece, that I had been sitting on all these years, and it now presents so nicely on display.
