A complete, doubly terminated, floater crystal of pink Kunzite from recent finds at Mawi, Afghanistan. The crystal is internally streaked with alternating transparent and translucent areas along its length and width. The crystal has an almost silky luster imparted by the prominent striations parallel to its length. Ends of this crystal exhibit lustrous, complex, jagged terminations, and looking down each end (the c-axis) the gorgeous lilac color is apparent. The crystal is complete with etched embayments locally along with small patches of contrasting white Kaolinite. A colorful, intact crystal with great character, with a mass of 252 grams. An excellent large, complete example of modern finds that does not break the bank.
