Clinoclase from the USA is far less known than the English specimens and it's not common to find good pieces available for sale. The color of this piece is a rich, deep blue and in the vug, there's a sphere of lustrous clinoclase. From the thumbnail collection of Martin C. Jensen (b. 1959) of Reno, Nevada, USA. He is not only a mineral collector, but an SEM specialist at the Mackay School of Mines, and has contributed multiple studies on localities in the western United States. The mineral species Jensenite is named in his honor. Self collected by Martin on Oct 8, 1988.
