Elongated, or scalenohedral-style smithsonite, is a rarely seen habit of this species that really only comes from Tsumeb in this quality. It came out of a small zone in the 1960s into the 1970s, and good specimens are scarce. This is a particularly fine, balanced thumbnail specimen of a cluster of parallel crystals standing upright, all of them sharp and sparkly and translucent! Rock Currier Collection #5570. He bought the thumbnail from Cal Graeber when Cal sold the Marion Godshaw Collection.
