An elongated rhombohedron of lustrous and translucent, amber-colored smithsonite, measuring 3.3 cm in length, is stacked on smaller smithsonite crystals, forming a really interesting vertical growth like an amber plant. This is a rare color in smithsonite, although known well from Tsumeb. The yellow color is due to cadmium inclusions (you can see color zoning inside, from the back side). Colorful, unusual smithsonite of unusual form and style!
