A SUPERB, GEM, 1.2 x 1.1 cm, cherry-red rhodonite crystal beautifully upright on matrix of splendent galena and cleaved rhodonite crystals from Broken Hill. This PRISTINE, complete all-around beauty is the ULTIMATE Broken Hill Holy Grail species. Lustrous, pocket-grown rhodonite crystals like this are super rare, and date from before WWII for the most part. This specimen is 1 in a 1000, from what I have seen of the material over the years. Ex. George Elling Collection.
