Splendent, battleship-gray, stiletto-like manganite blades to 1.3 cm cover the massive manganite matrix on this superb piece from the Wessels Mine of South Africa. It is very unusual to find manganite crystals in this form from any locale. Ex. Rob Smith Collection.
