This mine has produced what are clearly some of the finest quality Vivianite specimens ever seen. This small cabinet size piece features absolutely beautiful, lustrous, gem quality, emerald green, sword shaped "textbook" crystals of Vivianite sitting atop metamorphosed Sandstone. Please note that there are unusual "curved" crystals on this specimen, which is not uncommon for Vivianite, but is uncommon for most mineral species. There is a contact on one of the curved crystals, which most likely occurred when the piece was extracted during the mining process. These are still some of the best quality Vivianite crystals you will see from any locality, hands down. This piece is in very good shape. I have never seen specimens of this quality, color, luster and gemminess before, not only from Bolivia, but virtually any world locality. A super overall Vivianite specimen from this unusual new find in Bolivia. Ex. Brian Kosnar.
