This unusual vanadinite specimen features robust crystals, to 2.2 cm across, oriented in three distinct rows of parallel growth to form one of the biggest solid growths of attached vanadinite I have seen in a long time. In fact, this was from one pocket that came to market at the Denver show in September of 2001, the year of the 9-11 attacks. I remember because I bought this pocket (including this piece) from a Moroccan dealer at that show, the day before the show basically shut down in shock and grief. The crystals are lustrous and translucent, exhibit incipient hopper growth with a saturated red-orange color. Ex. Sinotte collection. This is a fantastic vanadinite of a really different style than most, and the boxwork complexity of the crystal form really makes it stand out.
