Cobaltian Smithsonite
This is a crystallized smithsonite from Tsumeb of one of the more rare habits; large pink, meaty Cobaltian Smithsonite crystals that are just classic Tsumeb style, in fine quality. The rich-pink color is very attractive (and not as pale as usual), and the gemmy crystals have a beautiful, silky luster. The crystals, up to 1.7 cm on edge, are gently curved, with textured faces and striated, beveled edges that are actually quite glassy. This aesthetic small cab is a quintessential Tsumeb classic, and display quality without damage of note. Unlike most specimens which tend to be crystals piled up on massive matrix, this piece actually has a very beautiful horizon and edges.
