A very attractive, rich, old-time Realgar from this classic deposit. In such aesthetic and large crystals, this is extremely rare! From the private collection of Dr. Giancarlo Fioravanti, a specialist in the lead mineral deposits of Italy and in Italian minerals in general. He passed away around the late 1990s, and the collection went into storage for possible donation to the Museum of Milan. However, it was later sold and we were lucky enough to acquire part of it. This piece is something like we have not seen from more modern finds here. No telling how old it is, but he acquired it in Zurich in 1972.
Known provenanceKnowing where your specimen comes from and who owned it adds to its story and value. Good provenance helps prove it's authentic and preserves important details about its discovery.
