Dal'negorsk has definitely become one of the premier contemporary sulfide produces localities around. The mine is still active and manages to produce amazing quality sulfides that do not receive the appreciation they deserve. The piece is comprised of flatted, white "discs" of Calcite stacked upon one another to form long, narrow crystal aggregates. The Calcites are associated with highly lustrous, silver colored cuboctahedra of Galena and jet black, sparkling twinned Sphalerite crystal matrix. Ex. Kosnar Collection.
