This display piece is a very rare example of the most uncommon willemite color, yellow, induced by the presence of cadmium. It features sharp 3 mm crystals of glassy and gemmy, lemon-yellow willemite emplaced on matrix. Under fluorescent light the willemite is an unusual medium brown color. In 25 years, I have only had under half a dozen examples of this color of willemite from Tsumeb. This would be considered a large specimen from what probably was only one pocket in the 1970s or early 80s. Ex. Marshall Sussman collection (from their rarities suite, sold in 2003) .
