A vuggy limonite matrix is host to spherical, olive-green mimetite, to.7 cm across. Widely scattered on the mimetite are elongated, lustrous and translucent, amber-colored wulfenite crystals, to 7 mm in length. The stark contrast of color and geometry is what makes this material so appealing to me, and this piece exemplifies that contrast - a lot of color, and a lot of surface area to show it off!
