This is an elegant, gem anglesite crystal with incredible, deep, saturated yellow color. It has a superior glassy luster and internal play of light due to its high refractive index that's related to its composition and high density. It's gorgeous, gemmy and dignified, and measures 4.3 cm in length. In ambient light, and especially sunlight, it refracts light, giving it an internal glow and outwardly high reflectivity like the best Swarovski crystal! The miniature consists of two transparent anglesite crystals in subparallel growth with a small sidecar crystal. It is all gemmy save for the base where the crystals were attached. There is some hematite staining and a few bits of matrix as well. The prism faces of the anglesite crystals are lightly striated parallel to their length and the terminal faces are mirror-like. There is one ding at the termination. Mass of this beauty is 132 grams.
