"Striking" is the only way to describe this incredible Vanadanite which REALLY stands out from the crowd! The main crystal is 2.7 cm across, it has superb luster, and a beautiful deep orange-red color. The tabular portion is nearly .5 cm thick. However, that is just the beginning. In reality, portions of the Vanadanite grow to a thickness of 1.2 cm! Intergrown in the back, as well as on the main face, are numerous high quality Vanadinites. Some in the back themselves reach 1 cm across and .6 cm thick - on their own they would have made a great Vanadanite specimen. Overall, this is a fantastic specimen - aesthetic, unusual, and sharp as can be. It is a FULL and imposing thumbnail. ex Sam Nasser collection
