GORGEOUS and AESTHETIC, this gemmy, doubly-terminated and twinned Calcite crystal is from the famous Elmwood Mine. The rich amber color and gemmy terminations are exactly what you look for, and the condition is so good (just very minor edge wear and contacts) that it borders on pristine. There are minor amounts of Sphalerite and Baryte, as well. A CLASSIC Elmwood Calcite crystal for form and color, and it even has a modest orange fluorescence as a bonus, which is unusual for the location. Although the mine is currently producing now, it is not giving up crystals of this combination of sharp shape combined with gemminess, color and luster - the new production is superb, but very different.
