Splendent from end to end, these 'melted' Galenas are nothing less than fabulous. Resting on a Sphalerite matrix, along with Quartz, the Galena crystals are both Spinel Twins and modified cuboctahedrons. The largest Galena crystals are about 2.4 cm across, and all have that great melted look and superb metallic luster. What I like the best are the actual crystal faces, which have micro-terracing that creates a 'circuit board' look that is fantastic. A fine, aesthetic cabinet piece that has lots going for it visually and mineralogically.
