The mining of these spectacular plates of calcite ended around a year and a half ago. They are distinctive in many ways. First of all, they are fat and chunky, to almost 3 cm across, with perfectly-sharp pyramidal terminations. They inter-grow with one another into these beautiful piles. And, they also have a really nice glassy luster. Plus, while these often have bruises, this one has just a few tiny ones. It is BIG, too!
