A shimmering specimen of the famous "apple green" smithsonite from the legendary 79 Mine in Arizona. This is actually a knob with a rich covering of smithsonite on both sides. It is unclear whether this specimen is from the original finds of this material, or some limited mining over the past couple of years that turned up a bit more of this sought-after material.
