A dramatic, old-time large cabinet specimen from the ancient mines at Laurium, Greece. This very vuggy, sculptural, cave formation specimen is festooned with sparkly, botryoids of turquoise-blue to green smithsonite. The growth banding on all sides of this large piece is facinating. Ex. Dr. John W. Ward Collection. A very highly representative and large specimen from this historic locale, which was called "ancient" in the time of the Classical Greeks.
