A gorgeous, vibrant green-blue smithsonite specimen from the classic USA locality, with absolutely perfect color. It is on contrasting white hard matrix, characteristic of the workings of this mine 100 years ago (and similar to the matrix of pieces I have seen in older museum collections). Silky to satiny lustered mounded, attractive botryoids of smithsonite aesthetically cover the surface of this piece, set off on matrix. A colorful smithsonite from a CLASSIC mine, seldom available in such quality in this size and price range.
