This whopper specimen contains a large POCKET of the famous Kelly Mine smithsonite! The luster is fabulous, shimmering and silky, and the color is a very weird blue-gray, not the normal sea-foam blue-green. This is actually a very rare color for the mine, produced generally in the older days of its mining (i am told pre-1960). So while the color isn't the classic hue we all know, it's all the more unique for it and historically of some importance. The pocket measures over 10 cm across! There are no bruises - it is in wonderful condition.
