There aren't many common species where one single location produces specimens with a look so unique as to match that of the great Smithsonites from Kelly, and it is easy to see why. The blue color, almost wet luster, and distinct botryoidal habit are classic for the locality, and are definitely all present in this large and showy specimen. In particular, the curving growths which are normally rather flattish are so well developed they are virtually stalactitic, with the largest reaching an impressive 3.2 cm! The crust is very thick, and overall this is a substantial specimen in every way. It is complete and displayable 360 degrees, all around. Excellent aesthetics, and hard to find in this quality. These always command a premium. It is an older specimen (Kay's number 1922 dates it to the 1950s or previous), and has the classic dark brown matrix of the older regions of this mine characteristic of some museum pieces I have seen with early 1900s dates.
