Not only is Merelani noted for tanzanite, but also for its beautiful gem diopside crystals. This bright apple-green diopside crystal is lustrous and translucent/gemmy and has minor graphite adhering to its base. Mass is 96.23 carats. Accompanying the crystal as a rough-and-cut set is a bright yellow-green cut stone weighing 2.73 carats (1 x.78 x .05 cm)
