WOW! The pictures really do say all on this vivianite. Lustrous, WATER-clear, and sharp, this 5.2 cm crystal stands perfectly on matrix. In person, actually, it sits a bit more symmetrically than shown here and does in fact sit on its own. It is a truly wonderful specimen of competition-quality aesthetics, both in context of this find and compared to other vivi's from around the world. The crystal is over 1 cm thick and yet is GEMMY throughout! Minor outward foliation (bending) typical of the species is present on one corner, but in no way detracts from the beauty of this small cabinet-sized piece. ONE OF THE BEST LARGE CRYSTALS In THE FIND!
