Imperial Topaz from Ouro Preto is world famous, with most crystals exhibiting a vibrant orange to reddish-orange color. This lustrous and gemmy pink-colored Topaz is a far more rare color, and from a famous find in the late 1980s. This pocket was only about the size of a basketball, and is still the best of the pink Topaz pockets. At 3.49 grams, this gemmy thumbnail, with great luster and a good termination (though with minor edge wear), is a fine representative of this special pocket.
