This is a huge plate of the fine phantom calcites discovered in Leiping, the mining of which is now FINISHED. This large plate came from a stash in the backroom of a dealer-friend in Tucson earlier this year. Thee calcites from this locality are quite distinctive: fat, lustrous, and with perfect pyramidal terminations. But most of all, each crystal has a phantom inside, from an earlier generation of growth which received a mineral coating, then was engulfed by later growth, so you can see the phantom clearly inside. Glows a fine red under UV! This is a large showpiece that can be displayed upright using a stand and really wow people! 26.6 x 25.0 x 10.5cm
