Although not producing nearly as much as in the past, this is from the 2019 "green pocket" find at the most famous Chinese mineral location, the Yaogangxian Mine in Hunan. A gorgeous, glassy, sea-green Fluorite cube is nestled in a jacket of small, snow-white blades of Calcite crystals along with groups of delicate, pastel pink, saddle-shaped rhombs of Dolomite. The 1.3cm Fluorite cube has a pronounced, opaque white phantom in the center that is bounded by a water-clear, sea-green rim...stunning! The Calcites are grouped in rosettes of paper-thin, very white disc-like crystals around the Fluorite and mounded clusters of pink Dolomite dominate the right side of the piece for great aesthetics and contrast. Both the Calcite and Dolomite crystals range between 3 and 5mm in size. There is another, smaller Fluorite hidden in the Calcite on the left side of the piece. A minor amount of tiny Pyrite and Quartz crystals are found locally on the piece for added effect. of water-clear, green with minor Quartz and Pyrite. Few were found, and this combination is uniquely aesthetic compared to other finds.
