Just an appealing, easy on the eyes Dal’negorsk cabinet specimen. The Calcites not only have wonderfully sharp poker-chip form, but a lovely, pastel pink color from the manganese. They sit on a matrix of white crystallized Quartz, visible on the underside of the piece. The Calcites are in sets of two or three, layered like sandwiches. The largest of the Manganoan Calcites is 3.6 cm, and they all have a vivid orange fluorescence.
