A very sculptural and showy specimen of translucent, botryoidal, kelly-blue smithsonite with interesting white smithsonite bands from the famous Kelly Mine of New Mexico. The smithsonite is a 1/2 inch thick crust on limestone matrix. Ex Ed Ruggiero Collection, who purchased this piece from miner/dealer, Tony Otero, in 1975. 7.4 x 7.2 x 5.7 cm
