This is a significant thumbnail sized specimen, featuring an unusually thick crystal with an unusually deep color combined with also an unusually glassy luster. It is a superb Red Cloud wulfenite, of the kind found only in 1 in 100 pockets, if that, over the 130 years or so of collecting here! This came to us in an old collection and we can only say that it is either from an early 1900s era, or from one of a few small pockets in the 1960s-1970s. It glows with color, and is highly saturated and sparkly, way beyond the norm for most of what you have seen from this famous and important mine.
