Kelly Mine smithsonites are reknowned for the robin's egg blue color and botryoidal balls, of which this is a classic style with the best color you can ask for. As a bonus, it is perched on darker blue aurichalcite. Truly fine specimens are actually quite rare in thumbnail size. I feel that during the peak times of the mine, people were not focused on recovering thumbnails, but also most thumbnails are just single knobs of smithsonite, whereas this is a really balanced cluster on matrix.
