Superb specimen of GEMMY mint-green Cuprian Smithsonite completely covering a knob of matrix. The Smithsonite crystals blend together, looking almost botryoidal in appearance, and there luster is superb. The gemminess creates the appearance of looking down into green ice. One side of the Smithsonite is coated almost entirely with a drusy dolomite that is matte in appearance, but is fluorescent. This Dolomite creats a nice contrast for the Smithsonite. Truly, a remarkable specimen of exceptionally high quality. Out of the Marshall Sussman Collection.
